CCTV recording and playback checklist

Use only if you are authorised to view this system. This is an observation
checklist, not an instruction to change settings or a full maintenance test.

[ ] Live views are present for the cameras you are responsible for.
[ ] The displayed date and time match the actual date and time.
[ ] Priority views are clear and not blocked, moved or badly obscured.
[ ] Recent recorded footage plays back for each priority camera.
[ ] An older sample within the site's agreed retention period plays back.
[ ] Any gaps match the intended recording schedule; unexplained gaps are noted.
[ ] The recorder shows no unresolved storage or recording warnings.
[ ] An authorised test export opens on the intended playback device.
[ ] Any exported personal data is kept in an approved secure location.

If an incident has occurred, follow your organisation's evidence procedure
promptly. Do not delete footage, format storage, factory-reset equipment or
change the clock to resolve a problem. Ask the responsible engineer for help.

Share only the minimum relevant details in an initial support request.
Do not send credentials or sensitive images by unapproved channels.
