A lost fob

Authorised staff need a clear way to identify and cancel the missing credential, issue a replacement and confirm that the old one no longer works.

A starter or leaver

Agree who approves access, which doors and times apply, and how permissions are removed. Use individual credentials so access can be reviewed.

A contractor visit

Decide whether access is supervised or time-limited, who sponsors it and how it expires. Avoid leaving a permanent shared credential for occasional visitors.

More than one site

Assess central administration, local responsibilities, connectivity failures and compatible credentials before assuming that one platform will work across every building.

Agree the handover before installation.

Include the door schedule, permission groups, normal operating tasks, support contacts and agreed checks. Lock behaviour and emergency-release arrangements need to be reviewed with the appropriate competent people.

Can existing cards, fobs or door hardware be retained?

Sometimes. Readers, credentials, locks, power supplies and cabling all need to be checked for compatibility, condition and security. Reusing the right parts can reduce disruption and cost.

Do you install Paxton and other access-control systems?

Yes. AD Systems works with Paxton and other established access and integration platforms, including Inner Range and Honeywell, where they fit the operational and technical requirement.
